….And the nights are drawing in like well worn strings, we thought we’d give you a little reminder of things on our general horizon:
WORRY EP
This cared-for collection of songs gets released on the 12th December and you can order it from here. It’s recently been added to the 6 Music and MTV playlists so hopefully you’ve managed to hear it round and about. If not then the video is »»» here.
Also, we’ve made an acoustic video for the B-side HIS THUNDER. Shot in a tunnel under the Tyne, it’s quite a poignant tale of domestic abuse. Visuals…
For musicians like us on little labels every single expression of your love is crucial. We enjoy creating songs and playing live and really rely on your support to do that, so if you like it please give it purchase. :)
LIVE DATES
These are listed below but the current one looming is the NEWCASTLE date, our last headline show of the year, at NORTHUMBRIA UNIVERSITY on SATURDAY DECEMBER 10th. You should be able to follow this link to buy tickets — http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=471649&interface=littlecomets — The day before we’re playing at KOKO in London for the NME giant xmas party, so head down and see us if you are southern or London-centred.
Also, our April tour is now on sale. We were pretty overwhelmed by the last run of headline dates so help us make this lot even more special (bleurgh haha):
Apr21: GLASGOW Oran Mor (t)
Apr22: MANCHESTER Academy 2 (i)
Apr23: LEEDS Cockpit (c)
Apr24: BIRMINGHAM Academy 2 (k)
Apr26: LONDON Scala (e)
Apr27: NORWICH Arts Centre (t)

A LITTLE BIT MORE
Keep an eye out for this year’s advent calendar starting in the obvious place. It’ll be less work intensive for us but more prizeful for you.
Thanks-a-lot

I’m a mat and I still retain
Accumulated stories of the tawdry years
I’ve been stamped out by rum-fuelled boots
The brute, us hiding under stairs.
Waiting for his thunder to hit
Waiting for his thunder and thinking is this it?
Waiting for his thunder to shout
Waiting for his thunder to tire itself out.
So I lie flat, in sheets worn thin
By his sublimations that reside within
For I’m the truth, the two in ten
That suffer at the whims of the weakest men.
Waiting for his thunder…
Each bruise I use as a chronicle of all that you gave me now
And every scar a reminder of the power that you had
The saddest part about the darkest hours
The implication that the fault was ours.
Waiting for his thunder…
Any greetings like?
Just to say firstly, thanks to everyone who came to see us over the last week. The four gigs were absolutely brilliant and despite the occasional argument about which service station to stop at we had an amazing time…
So much so that we’ve decided to announce another tour in APRIL 2012… it’ll be around about the same time as the new album, so you’ve got a plenty of time to get your ticket sorted out.
The dates are below… if you can’t wait until then we’ve also just added a NEWCASTLE headline date for DECEMBER 10TH.
10/12 NEWCASTLE Northumbria University (tickets)
20/04 GLASGOW Oran Mor (tix)
21/04 MANCHESTER Academy 2 (ticks)
22/04 LEEDS Cockpit (tickos)
23/04 BIRMINGHAM Academy 2 (tickays)
26/04 LONDON Scala (ticketoes)
27/04 NORWICH Arts Centre (ticketsies)
28/04 BRIGHTON The Haunt (tickets)
Thanks a lot,

Hello everybody,
We haven’t been home much this year and feel like we have especially neglected our fellow north easterners recently. Split Festival was brilliant but only reminded us of how special our last gig at NORTHUMBRIA UNI (we actually felt like a proper band, it had lights and everything).
So to finish off our headline dates for 2011, we’ve decided to play another gig in our favourite venue on SATURDAY DECEMBER 10th. It’ll also be the first chance we get to play songs from our new album at home….
Tickets will be available from 9am on Tuesday 4th October at the following link….
http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=471649&interface=littlecomets
Maybe see you there, if not tickets for Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and London are just about still available for October.
Tara,

So I sink into my ercol, and greet you from the tumbling stirrups of this well worn seat…
Anyway: what’s going on with us? Well: we are busy touching the finishes to our new EP which hasn’t got a title yet (but the rejected pile includes - Smell the Glove, and What My Life Would Have Been Like if I Was Christian Bale).
In the meantime we are doing the following live gigs:
IN OCTOBER:
16: BIRMINGHAM Academy 2 (tockets)
17: GLASGOW Oran Mor (tickets)
18: MANCHESTER Club Academy (teckets)
19: LONDON The Garage (tackets)
If you absolutely can’t wait until then, then we suggest that you enrol in one of the following UNIVERSITIES that we’re going to do a brief fresher’s week tour of in SEPTEMBER:
22: CARDIFF CF10 SU
23: SHEFFIELD C Pod
24: STOKE The Lounge
28: LEEDS The Met Bar
29: BIRMINGHAM Bar 42
02: NEWCASTLE Union Bar
* i think you can only come to these gigs if you are a member of the uni, but i was asked to put them on this blog so i’m just doing as i’m told :)
That’s it for now, we’ll have some new music for you soon. just hope that you like it. And by the way, we are up in SUNDERLAND for SPLIT FESTIVAL this weekend. Please come along as it is nicely organised and full of lovely bands.

i’ve been singing gibberish live for the last few months but now the lyrics are finalised so i thought i’d share them with you…
her silhouette
is bleaker than a cigarette
on a tuesday morn
when i feel humanity slip
from broken hands down to her hips
realising
lethargy in both her eyes
and as the sun emancipates the dawn
her tanlines cackle with the power of
the allegory.
for a man
he’s deeper than the sundarbans
and the whistful way
that he could hold her stare
leaves heartache hanging in the swollen air
and as they fall apart
in separate beds
he carves “forever”
in the cheap wooden bedstead
realise
bitterness in both her eyes
and the way his words could strip
the walls she’s climbing
i worry about the way she lay
too much worry, worry, worry, worry.
he holds her down,
everything is anguish now
with the shallowness of every breath
he waits until she is bereft
realise
nothingness in both her eyes
and the way his words have stripped
the walls she’s climbing….
answers on a postcard.
AM/PM CHECK IT,
That is the new Hoxton greeting apparently. People there are like totally banal about time, redefine it, make it work for you. Anytime is treat time, yah?
Anyway, whilst Mickey has been plugged into a computer making drum sounds the rest of us decided to found a shop. Me and Matt have also wanted to open a sandwich shop so we took the first step by opening an online one here….
http://littlecomets.bigcartel.com/
Unfortunately we don’t do food, just T-shirts and bags at Primark prices, only we don’t exploit people to make them…. we wanted to call it “ANY SHOPS LIKE?!” but this seemed to lack direction.
Soooo, have a browse and a click.
The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit (Matt shotgunned Holy Spirit because it is most plausible, just)

“Any Plans Like?” said Adam Cameron, and so it stuck.
We’ve actually got plenty of plans for the summer and so we thought we should share them with you. We’re currently in our sturdy van on the way to Stranraer to catch a ferry to BELFAST (our second favourite city) and before a truckers breakfast this message is getting furiously typed.
The first plan is to finish the GOMEZ tour we are currently on, the dates left are as follows:
18.06 BELFAST Spring and Airbrake
19.06 DUBLIN Olympia Theatre
20.06 BIRMINGHAM Hoomv Institute
21.06 LONDON Roundhouse
Beautiful.
After that, we’ll be intertwining recording and bijoux festivals for the remainder of the summer. We’re going to try to record at least 8 new songs and start to play them to you post-August. Just in case you’d like to come along to one of the festivals then peruse this list and DO!
09.07 WAKESTOCK Abersoch (North Wales)
10.07 LOUNGE ON THE FARM Canterbury
23.07 BEN AND JERRY’S Manchester
24.07 BEN AND JERRY’S London
05.08 BELLADRUM Ullapool
06.08 SHEEPSHEARER’S FESTIVAL Pickering
07.08 IGNITION FESTIVAL Newcastle Upon Tyne
12.08 LEEFEST Bromley
13.08 SUMMER SUNDAE Leicester
26.08 LEEDS FESTIVAL Leeds
27.08 READING FESTIVAL Reading
17.09 SPLIT FESTIVAL Sunderland
After Leeds-Reading we’re going to take a week’s holiday to Scotland/Matt’s holiday home/Mickey’s fruit garden before planning how to release an album quickly and playing these four headline shows:
16.10 GLASGOW Oran Mor
17.10 BIRMINGHAM o2 Academy 2
18.10 MANCHESTER Club Academy
19.10 LONDON The Garage
That’s it really, we’re planning on being a three-legged table for quite a while as the physics of it work - we’ll just screw in an extra bit of wood when we play live.
Hope that is ok,
love from:
liberté, égalité & fraternité

Hello everybody,
Despite having a remarkably good weekend at Camden Crawl, we woke up on Monday morning to a really bad ringing in our ears….
Due a combination of factors, Mark has decided to leave the band for a life of gainful employment. He has worked really hard over the last few years and is a tremendous performer both on and off stage, so we wish him well as he scoots off towards the sunset. Unfortunately, this means as we haven’t been able to find a replacement in time, we’ll have to POSTPONE our MAY headline dates in GLASGOW, MANCHESTER, BIRMINGHAM and LONDON until we can rehearse the set with a new drummer. We’re sure that we’ll have a new person in place to be able to fulfill all festival dates across the summer, and ahead of recording some new songs in the next couple of months.
We’re very sorry and massively disappointed not to be able to play these gigs but all tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Moreover, if any of you have booked hotels or travel that you will lose money on please let us know and although we’re too cash-strapped to pay you, we’ll make something lovely for you as compensation. The NEW dates are as follows, hope you can still make it:
16Oct BIRMINGHAM Academy 2
17Oct GLASGOW Oran Morrrrrrr
18Oct MANCHESTER Club Academy
19Oct LONDON Garage
Lots of sorry love,
Little Comets
